Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

AGES SERVED: Teens and Adults

About me:

Hi! I’m Shantel Pelote, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with professional experience in both clinical and educational settings. I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s transitions, strengthen their relationships, and develop the tools needed to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My background includes providing therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, and significant life changes. My experience as a school psychologist has also given me a strong understanding of child and adolescent development, social-emotional wellness, school-related concerns, and the ways family, cultural, academic, and environmental factors can affect a young person’s well-being.

I believe everyone deserves a safe, affirming, and judgment-free space where they feel seen, heard, and respected. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, goal-oriented, and strength-based. I work alongside clients to uncover their resilience, deepen self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, improve communication, and create healthier, more fulfilling lives and relationships.
