AGES SERVED: Adolescents and Adults

About me:

My lived experience drew me to the field of sociology and social work. As a teen mother, I felt the expectations and judgment of the world around me. Additionally I experienced a shift in roles at a young age having to care for my mother who suffered from a chronic illness.

These experiences led me to working with teens in foster care and the juvenile justice system. I am passionate about empowering youth to explore their own sense of self and challenge the negative narrative they may have experienced for themselves.

I have more recently worked with adults with acute and chronic illness. It can be overwhelming to face new physical limitations as well as experience grief and loss around the life you once lived. I believe in the ability to redefine ourselves and discover new purpose in these challenging times.

I utilize an eclectic and person-centered approach to help you find tools that work for you. I believe in collaborating together and exploring your personal strengths to reach the goals that are important to you. I am here to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where I can assist you in processing your experiences and develop new coping strategies.
